Herbal Flavors and Energetics

Herbal flavors and energetics tell us a lot about what an herb will do in the body and which organ/system it will have an effect on. Energetics can also be applied to a person or condition. In this webinar, Kris Vaughan will teach the five flavors of herbs (sweet, salty, bitter, sour, pungent) as well as energetics (hot, cold, damp, dry) from a Western Herbalism perspective.

A few more words about this course

Looking at herbal flavors and energetics will simplify how you choose herbs for yourself or a client and how you build a balanced and effective herbal remedy. It can be overwhelming to memorize the myriad herbal actions, chemical compounds, and indications for herbs and this becomes overwhelming when trying to formulate a remedy. It doesn’t have to be that difficult.

In this class, Kris will guide you through the flavors and energetics using the Botanical Fundamentals Kit from Wise Woman Herbals® which was designed to introduce this foundational concept in herbal medicine. This kit is used in classrooms for the Nutritional Therapy Association as well as in herbalist and physician practices across the country and is a valuable tool for learning and sharing herbal medicine with your clients. (Kit will be introduced as a tool and is not necessary to purchase for this class)

This class is approved for 2 CEU’s by The Nutritional Therapy Association. (Submit your receipt to the NTA)

Note: Wise Woman Herbals kit is used as an educational tool only. Wise Woman Herbals is in no way affiliated with this course content or the Herbal Wisdom Institute.

    You will learn:
